OSP OptiCore Layer 2/3 MPLS METRO Ethernet Switches. The OptiCore 800 is an eight slot SNMP managed Carrier Class advance switch with full MPLS Layer 2/3 functionality, while the OptiCore 400 provides the exact functionality but with only four slots. Both chassis whith basic configuration may provide fast redundancy ecovery via EAPS when in ring mode configuration. Units provides 4 or 8 access slots for the inclusion various optical 10Gbps modules, plus 10/100/1000BaseT electrical or optical mixed modules. Port density varies from 1 to 16 10Gbps ports or 12 to 348 10/100/1000BaseT electrical ports. Modules may be interchanged to provide flexible or optimal port type distribution. MPU packet switching capacity ranges from 192Gigs to 384Gigs, and may be configured in redundant mode. Unit also provides dual autonomous DC-48 power connections.

The series offer a full suite of advanced software features coupled with a comprehensive ports configuration suited to meet most application needs. The OptiEdge-100 series can provide several 10Gbp/s MPLS Core to Core or Core to Edge direct connections with 12 to 24 100/1000 optical SFP connections or 48 port GigE BaseT connections
OptiAccess-100 series are four distinct products: A Layer 2 and a Layer 3 switch, both with 24 ports electrical RJ45 10/100BaseT or 24 ports 10/100-FX Optical (SFP) ports. Stakable from two to eight units, anf fully SNMP managed. Both units provide four (4) Electrical RJ45 Network and four (4) Optical SFP GigE Network connections, with dual ring capability or EAPS ring recovery. The OptiAccess line may be deployed independently on a local network or may function in METRO Ethernet mode when used with the OptiCore. or OptiEdge Switch line.
OptiEnd family has been developed to offer high speed Optical METRO Ethernet GigE services to the end user with the option of transporting TDM traffic within the same Ethernet link. OptiEnds main feature provides four 10/100/1000 BaseT customer ports and dual redundant 100Base-FX or Dual 1000Base-X Network Connections. The product may transport TDM traffic on a point to point basis or in conjunction with a T1/E1 concentrator utilizing CESoPSN standards.
